Well hello there

Sorry team, havent blogged in a file since "The Picture". But i just wanted to talk about a few things in my life that im enjoying, and also that im looking forward too. Lets start off with things in the present.

1) Its march and that means one amazing thing... March Madness. It doesnt matter your age, gender, or religion you filled out a bracket. If your like anyone else in the world your bracket was ruined in the first day so its okay. Rip it up and enjoy the games like i've been doing.

2) Every night before i go to sleep, i go on SPORCLE.COM and do some sports trivia. I've known about this site for several months due to fellow Pisone family member Phil Pisone. Theres trivia about everything from baseball, to cricket, to nascar to england soccer teams to name a few. Theres everything. Go on and enjoy. You'll like it.

Now some things coming in the future.

1) GLEE! April 13th the second season premiers on the way to sectionals. I am extremely excited for this and ive been waiting for a while. I just finished watching the first season on dvd that i bought for Siix. Great present for both of us dont you think?

2) Only two days after Glee premiers, its tax day, which means only one thing. Kelsye Milliron's birthday. Better yet, Jonnie Smiths, and Seanna Kelly. Put all of those celebrities behind you and its also my birthday. Nothing special. 19 years young but still a birthday is a birthday. I'd also like to shout out to some up coming birthdays in my calender. Jared (Rod) Miller March 28th, Fellow bloggers, JACK and ZACK Harr April 9th, my cousin who i doubt reads this, Brandon Woodward April 13th.

3)Runs house is currently airing and should be ending in a few months. Im hoping that it should be back on TV by august or september so i can enjoy watching Rev and Jojo. Im not too found of Russy in the past episodes because he was a little annoying but i feel like hes mature now and he'll be a good member of the cast.

Big Ben and Professional Wrestling...

After all this time, you probably thought I would never blog again. A lot has happened since my last post so I'm here to enlighten you. Mainly I would like to talk about Steeler's quarterback Ben Roethlisberger who has gotten himself in a little bit of trouble over the past three weeks. If you haven't heard, Big Ben has been accused of sexually assaulting a woman at a club in Georgia and is in some deep shit (facing league penalties and a lawsuit). This is the second time Ben has been accused of sexual harassment and although I originally thought the first case was just some gold digger looking for a cheap ticket to easy street, this second case has me doubting Ben's decision making ability. I will always love Big Ben, but I don't necessarily like him right now.

In other news, March Madness has begun and of course we all made a bracket. Many of the Groover Alert authors (except Shay because women don't fill out brackets) are in "Jake's Tourny Group" on ESPN's Bracket Challenge. So far everyone has been screwed by Kansas blowing the big one against Norther Iowa, plus various other upsets that no one saw coming. An example of an upset that no one could predict was Cornell, which is Andy Bernard's alma mater, beating Temple and then going on to beat Wisconsin in the second round. Out of all the Groover Authors in the group, here is how the rankings look as of the first two rounds:

1. Myself 400 pts
2. Mike Pisone 390 pts
3. Jake Butler (AKA Fay West) 380 pts
4. Zach Harr 350 pts

All of this news is in second place to the healthcare reform bill that was passed just yesterday. Barack Obama signed the bill into law yesterday after months and months of getting denied by the Senate. My big gripe with this whole bill is not with what is listed in its over 1000 pages, but that The Daily Show and The Colbert Report are on hiatus this week and I will not be able to hear Stewart and Colbert's thoughts on it until next Monday.

Honorable Mention:
Stone Cold Steve Austin was a special guest host on WWE Monday Night Raw two weeks ago and once again he managed to make Vince McMahon's (no relation to Caitlin McMahon)life difficult. On November 9, 1997 Vince McMahon fixed a match between Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels, having referee Earl Hebner call the match in Shawn's favor when Shawn put Bret in his own finishing move "The Sharpshooter". But the funny thing was that Bret never tapped out, resulting in the "Montreal Screwjob". Bret came back a few months ago for the first time since Vince screwed him and he wanted revenge. A minor car accident left Bret's foot broken but that didn't deter him from wanting to face Vince at Wrestlemania 26 coming up on Sunday night. Stone Cold was the overseer of the contract signing for the match and all was normal until the end. After both Vince and Bret signed the contract, Stone Cold revealed to the world that Bret had been faking his injury and has a perfect bill of health. If you're ready for Wrestlemania give me a HELL YEAH!

Come Josephine, in my flying machine, going up she goes! Up she goes!

Today I was inspired to start this bad boy back up, and I'll admit it's been quite a while since the last time I've blogged. Apparently Groover Alert has become a current trend for people to read these days, I'll try to improve my blogging abilities and not sound like an unintelligent bozo. Confidence is key, so here it is...

I watched the movie Psycho today for my film class. I had little knowledge prior to watching the movie. All I really knew was Alfred Hitchcock directed it and the famous shower scene that took place. My expectations for the movie were not that high because it was in black and white and made in the 1960's, not that visually interesting. The movie was overall pretty good. It started off slow but it picked up throughout the movie. Plenty of suspense, movies aren't like back then.

Also, over spring break I watched a couple of good movies; Inglorious Basterds, 2012, UP, and The Hurt Locker.

1. I can honestly say I enjoyed UP the most out of all of them. It really was such a good movie. I watched the movie with my little cousin, I am 19 years old and enjoyed the whole thing. Pixar amazes me, and I would say UP is UP there with Toy Story and The Lion King on my list of top Disney movies.

2.I can also honestly say 2012 was the worst movie out of all of them. I like John Cusack and all, but the only good thing about that movie was Amanda Peet.

3.Inglorious Basterds was good.

4. Now when it comes to The Hurt Locker, I'm a little skeptical, I'm not sure how I feel about it. Obviously its good, I mean it won best picture and best director (however, I feel James Cameron and Avatar was robbed), but I just don't know. I'm not big in war movies.

peace out.

Bison in Panther Country

What up world?

Life has been pretty steady here in bison country, (yes. wow. my mascot is a bison. I know, so nice.) but I’ve managed to keep myself engaged and entertained. I have finalized tickets to see Drake, April 9th at the Bryce Jordan Center. I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am to groove to sultry beats as his “milk and honey” voice swoons into my earlobes. I’m currently shopping for a flashy top to wear in an attempt to catch his eye and seduce Drake from my peanut heaven seat. I have been obsessed with this man for years and my dream has finally come true. I predict a hype crowd and this day cannot come soon enough groovers.

Before new dance moves and “Unstoppable” lyrics filled my brain in replacement of actual classwork and other pre-requisite nonsense, thoughts of Jay-Z and his posse occupied my brain. I’ve been introduced to what I think is a hidden suspicion and rumor about the rapper. A friend told me that Jay-Z is rumored to be tied to the Illuminati and the Freemasons. The Freemasons is the worlds largest secret society made up of people who are said to believe that " Lucifer(the devil) has a special place in all of their hearts." Many people believe that the symbols Jay-Z portrays in his videos such as the triangle symbol ("the all seeing eye of the Illuminati")and referring to himself as“HOV” (HOV=Jehovah=God in Hebrew) are all not Christ-like and point toward the hatred of Christians.

Jay-Z seems to defend himself in multiple interviews hinting that he is ‘an entertainer’ and if this is how he gains his fame, then he has reached his goal. But in some interviews he claims he is not religious at all and that religion in fact ‘separates people’. Here he sounds like a Christian to me. Though personally, I can’t seem to read Jay-Z. I have listened to his music for years and I haven’t once experienced satanic or Illuminati references within his lyrics. But when I carefully listened to songs like “Empire State of Mind” and “Run This Town”, which have received lots of controversial feedback from spectators, I could make some comparisons to the allegations. Also found in his song "Lucifer" when played backwards the words "666, murder, murder Jesus, kill catholics" can be heard from speakers. Kind of scary. But who's really to say what Jay is or isn't.I consider myself a die-hard Christian (yeah I said it) and I couldn’t see myself taking extreme measures against this man based on rumors. However, I know a few Christians who have deleted his music and have vowed to ever buy another product of the artist after hearing about his alleged ties to the Freemasons. Though, I believe that symbolism is all around us and with many opinions and points of view out there, this argument can go two very different ways.

What I wonder though is what should the people do. Jay-Z’s music has been around for decades. His record sales continue to rise, he’s globally recognized and he has made a household name for himself. His fame quadruples most artists in the game right now and therefore, his music reaches a wide scope of people on a daily basis.I’ve read some articles and while they point the finger at Jay-Z and place shame on his alleged membership with these organizations, they also question his influence on his peers. These websites question the involvement with close friends of the rapper and the emergence of a sudden “dark side” of Rihanna, Kanye West and Beyonce. They claim that the rapper has taken these people under his wing and also transformed them into Illuminati and Freemason followers.

My question is that after listening and analyzing some of Jay’s songs, do you feel influenced or threatened by his lyrics? Do you care whether or not an artist believes in the same religious views as you do. Do you agree with Jay-Z’s statement that he is an entertainer, and what he does on Sunday afternoons is completely separate from his career? Personally, I can care less what an artists’ religious views are. I mean I am concerned with the rumors or else I wouldn't think it worthy to post. But when it comes to music I look for club bangers rather than religious symbolism. I leave you with this: many of the founding fathers of America were also linked to this underground society. Should we move to South America? Tell me what you think. I dare you.
